NCCWSL Nomination 2024

AAUW’s National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) is held annually at the University of Maryland for women student leaders from across the country. They represent 2^nd year students from Community Colleges and Universities. This year’s conference is May 30- June 2, 2024: https://www.aauw.org/nccwsl for more information. The goal of NCCWSL is to develop leadership skills across 5 core learning objectives: Leadership development, Professional development, Activism, Women’s Issues, and Identity and Diversity.

AAUW Alameda Branch is offering two scholarships of $1,500 each for College of Alameda women students, which will cover registration and transportation costs. Eligible students need to have completed 24+units.

We much appreciate your time in nominating women students whose home campus is College of Alameda or who have completed 80% of their units at COA, and who have demonstrated leadership skills either at the College of Alameda or in outreach or service activities in their schools or local communities.

Once students are nominated they will be invited to apply and provide additional documentation and transcript. Deadline for nominations is Friday February 16. For students the completed application deadline is Monday March 4, 2024. Please submit your nomination to Penny Washbourn, via email with subject line NCCWSL Nomination to pwashbou@gmail.com with a copy to yourself.
