AAUW Alameda October Speaker and Luncheon Alameda Chamber of Commerce, 2215A South Shore Center

Our October 12 Luncheon will feature Madlen Saddick, Executive Director of the Alameda Chamber of Commerce as our presenter.  The Chamber will also be welcoming us to have our luncheon meeting in their convenient offices, near Trader Joe’s.  Please plan to arrive between 11:00 and 11:25 for our “social half hour” – Luncheons begin promptly at 11:30.

Ms. Saddick will address us regarding her vision for the Alameda Chamber.  In her first eight months as the new Executive Director, she has introduced a number of new programs and initiatives to strengthen the role of the Chamber in the community and provide added value to its members.  One of her passions is education and her new Chamber Academy program, which has been wellreceived.  She brings great energy and enthusiasm to her vision.

Madlen came to Alameda following over eight years with the San Mateo Chamber of Commerce, where she had a number of roles, including marketing, event planning, and business development.  Prior to that, she had a successful career as the owner of a commercial design center for 22 years, working with developers and architects.
