Our September 14 Tech Trek Luncheon will start at 11:30 at Girls Inc. of the Island City, 1724 Santa Clara Avenue (Alameda). The lunch will be catered by Blue Dot Cafe at a cost of $16.00 per person, and will include a choice of sandwiches (both meat and vegetarian), salad, chips, desert, and ice tea or water.
Please write a check, payable to AAUW Alameda Branch, and mail it to Paula Biwer, 1804 2nd St., Alameda, CA, 94501-1830 by September 7. If you cannot get your check to Paula on time, please call her at (510) 918-8577, text her, or send her an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know. She can make your reservation and you can pay either by check or credit card at the event.
This is an excellent Luncheon to invite your friends to, as potential future members, because they will experience the uplifting presentation by our Tech Trek participants and also hear about various Member Groups and upcoming events and activities. Please try to carpool to all events– it’s good for the environment and may encourage others to attend.
Please remember that this an annual fund-raising event – see details in the Tech Trek Coordinator Update. There will also be an opportunity drawing. Bring any/all items you would like to donate for future drawings with you to the event and give them to President-Elect Mark Hamilton.
